One pen, a thousand nuances
My name is Chantale Roy, and for more than 30 years, I’ve been treating words, texts ― and people ― with great care. Language has always been my passion, just like my sincere desire to help others express themselves with clarity, whether in personal, professional, or educational contexts.
With a degree in Education from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue — where I was awarded a merit scholarship for innovation and performance — and training in translation from the Université de Saint-Boniface, I’ve developed a distinctive approach rooted in precision, sensitivity, creativity, and active listening. Over the years, I’ve taught written and spoken French at the University of British Columbia, worked with diverse learners and clients at Collège Éducacentre, in the federal public service, and for the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration du Québec. I’ve also revised and translated for publishing houses, universities, legal associations, community organizations, and more.
Today, I offer a complete range of personalized language services: meticulous proofreading, custom writing, high-quality transcription, English-to-French translation, and individualized instruction in written and spoken French, delivered online.
I’m known for my thoroughness, instinctive research skills, adaptability to clients’ needs, and strong command of the subtleties of the French language. But my goal has never been purely linguistic: I bring dignity to every project, and care to every person, so their ideas shine as they deserve to.
